Cloudbuster
This symbolic rainmaker uses dancing & scientific methods to create rain. An sms sets the machine in motion, adds a number to the click counter & triggers the sexy text based musical work by Emilie Zoey Baker. Forming an arc part way around the participant is a tube armature that gently sucks as the participant listens to the song. This communal collecting & directing of energy links to traditional ideas of raindancing as well as collecting orgone (universal life energy) for Wilhelm Reich’s cloudbuster machine.
As the song plays a video loop of clouds forming dispersing and raining is projected onto the ceiling up through one of the pipes. As the song ends the sound of rain is heard. It is hoped the work can be made where corporate support includes matching community sms contributions to purchase carbon credits.
